The M2 motif at -79 is not important for expression in muscle. (Kusakabe 2004)
Ci-Tbx6b and Ci-Tbx6c bind to 5'-GWTCACACCT-3' in vitro.
Ci-Tbx6b is necessary for expression at the 110-cell stage and at the tailbud stage, Ci-Tbx6c is only necessary at the 110-cell stage (Yagi 2005)
